Abby comments for July

Just wanted to close out July with some funny quotes from Miss Abby. She is becoming quite the talker. She tells everyone she meets that she is going to be a "Big Sister to baby Tyler". She is progressing with potty training, but we haven't reached full success yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we can accomplish that goal before the new baby arrives. :)

OK, so here are some words from the mouth of Abby:

"Mommy, your belly button is broken. I get you a bandaid".

Paul: "Abby you are being a pain in the ass".
Abby: "No, Daddy - you the pain in the ass".

Mommy, no poop in my diaper, no poop in floor, no poop in mouth (and several other body parts). I poop in toilet".
(I will believe it when I see it)

Hope everyone is having a great summer! My belly is getting bigger by the second! The doctors are estimating baby Tyler is going to be 9 lbs or so. Hoping for a (little) early arrival!

26 week ultrasound

We had a follow up ultrasound yesterday to check how baby Chase is doing. All looks good! He kept trying to cover his face with his arms, but we finally got a face view! And yes, he is absolutely a boy!! :)

Fourth of July- Outer Banks, NC

We spent the 4th in Rodanthe. Our entire families came. Paul's parents, his sister Claudine and her family, my mom and grandmother and my sister Rhonda and her family. Paul's uncle Brian and Aunt Debbie drove up for a few days and our friends the Berry's came down for a few days at the beginning of the week. A great time was had by all. The kids explored the beach and the pool. We saw fireworks on Roanoke Island and visited the Aquarium during the week. Abby had her first roasted marshmallows with Daddy's help. The guys got to go exploring the beaches of Corolla and the wild horses in a Jeep. It was such a nice time to get to see everyone and relax. I even got a couple of books read!!

Pretty Flowers

Abby got to pick some flowers from the yard yesterday and Daddy helped her put them in a vase for her room. She was so proud! She also wanted to try out her 4th of July dress a little early. She loves to wear "pretty dresses" and dance around the house!

Dress like Daddy Day

Today is dress like Daddy day in honor of Father's day. We went to Old Navy and picked up a navy polo shirt out of the boys dept for Abby to wear. Finish with a pair of khaki capris and ta-da - dressed like Daddy. Abby kept saying she was wearing "Daddy's shirt" which was adorable. The first pic she is all sad because we asked her to put down pink dog for the picture. You can see how her mood improved once we let her pick him back up. :)

New hair clips

Just wanted to share a few pics of Abby that Paul took around the house the other day. I ordered some new hair clips from a friend that makes them. One is a butterfly and it is Abby's favorite! She loves it! One is a collection of bows and there is a third that is a red flower. Abby loves her new "hair bows"!
The new summer line was just put out and the clips are all of Disney's princesses! Guess I am going to have to get Abby some more - her obsession these days is with Cinderella!

New bed!

We moved Abby into an official toddler bed today. We took all the nursery furniture out and put in her new bed, a shorter bookshelf and a chest of drawers. The best part is that most of her toys made the move upstairs into her room! We need to make room for the new nursery! Our office is going back downstairs so that the new baby boy will have a space of his own!
