Happy Birthday Paul!

Paul turned 38 on October 27th. We had cake the night before because he had a HUGE exam on his actual birthday. Abby picked out the cake just for Daddy and of course it was all chocolate!
Here's to hoping next year he at least doesn't have an exam on his birthday!

Dress like Daddy Day

Today is dress like Daddy day in honor of Father's day. We went to Old Navy and picked up a navy polo shirt out of the boys dept for Abby to wear. Finish with a pair of khaki capris and ta-da - dressed like Daddy. Abby kept saying she was wearing "Daddy's shirt" which was adorable. The first pic she is all sad because we asked her to put down pink dog for the picture. You can see how her mood improved once we let her pick him back up. :)

Daddy time

I took some pics of Paul and Abby playing in the backyard today and I couldn't resist posting them. They were playing soccer of sorts, though Abby thought the objective was to tackle the ball I think. I also caught a cute shot of her flying thru the air with her pigtails behind her. So cute (and no Daddy hasn't missed catching her yet)

Paul's first week of class

Well, it is official! We survived the first week of Paul being a student! We are adjusting to the new routine fairly well. I am now only working 3 days a week (12 hour days) - this puts me at home on the days Paul has late classes. We joined the YMCA so that Abby can get into some swim classes and I can work on getting back to that pre-anesthesia school size! I've learned that the library has "Toddler Time" on Thursdays - so that is where Abby and I will probably be. We have made plans to go to the science museum in Durham next week with some good friends. Yesterday poor Abby had to help Mommy with the laundry - but it looks like she had a good time hanging out in the hamper and underneath the warm towels from the dryer!

Paul seems to be enjoying his classes so far, and is settling back into being a student. He is riding his mountain bike back and forth to campus and working out at the student center 3 days a week. (Now you understand the whole YMCA membership for me) :) It is shaping up to be a busy fall semester!
