Wheels

We bought a bike trailer this past weekend and finally found a tricycle for Tyler that will grow with him. It looks like the kids love both of them! Tyler can now go on Abby's bike rides with her on his own Big Boy bike instead of the stroller! The kids really loved the trailer for Daddy's bike -although Daddy wasn't loving the hill we live at the bottom of :)

Tyler even found a great new shoe holder on the front of his bike! :)

Fall Festival

Well, the weather here was perfect for the Fall Festival held at the kids dentist office today. Tyler checked out the weather out the window after I put him in jeans and a long sleeve shirt. Apparently he though Mommy was losing her mind :)

At the Festival, Abby got to meet some Firemen and check out the truck. She also met the tooth fairy and had her picture taken, but I missed getting my own pic of it. There was all kinds of little games and giveaways for the kids! Abby had a blast! Tyler really wanted out of the stroller, but did manage to laugh a few times. Gotta learn to walk kiddo!

Look Mommy, I wrote my own name!

Abigail was sitting at the kitchen table practicing her letters while I made dinner last night. And she wrote her first name for the first time all by herself!
I am so proud!!! I think I almost cried! It is now hanging on the refrigerator and she got to color a beautiful picture of Rapunzel to hang right next to it!

Winston-Salem Airshow

This past Saturday we headed out to WS for the airshow at the airport. Cammi came along with us. It was beautiful weather! Only in the 80's and sunny. There were some pretty amazing airplanes, and a wing walker. Unfortunately, the most exciting sight to Abby was some kids Toy Story beach towel. "It's Woody and Buzz Lightyear Mommy!" Forget about the B52 Bomber!

She did manage to strike a pose by an airplane for some pics. Apparently she has been watching America's Next Top Model after Mommy and Daddy go to sleep :)

Tyler was pretty chill all day, but he was tired of the stroller. There is no convincing this kid he needs to learn to walk! He doesn't even like to walk holding onto your hands! But man can he throw a fit about going in the stroller!

Cammi & Abby sleepover

Abby's friend from school, Cammi, stayed overnight on Friday. The girls had a great time. I took them for pedicures and then we came home and made individual pizzas! Then we headed outside to ride bikes/the jeep/and blow some bubbles. Bath time and cookies followed. Of course they had to wear each other's night gowns. (So much better than wearing the one you have worn before!)

I think everyone had a good time. The girls ended up in bed with me around 1030 and I think I fell asleep first :). We had minimal tears so I consider that a success!

Ballerina Abby

Abby had her first dance class at Nan's on Wednesday night. She was so excited! They did ballet for part of the time, then tap! She can not wait to go back!
There are only 3 other girls in her class at this time. Lila she knows from swim class at the YMCA. Sophie is Lila's friend from school and Trinity. They are so cute! I will have to get some pics of the 4 of them together next week.

Abby even got a purple princess stamp for her hand at the end of class. That Ms Jennifer is so wonderful!

Tyler 10 months

I am so far behind!! Tyler turned 10 months old in August. He is a busy, busy boy! He is into everything! We never baby proofed the house for Abby, she has never been as curious as her brother. Now we are getting a crash course in BOY! His favorite place to play is the dogs water dish followed closely by the little cap cover on the side of the toilet bowl and the roll of toilet paper. These last 2 are Molly's favorites too!

He is such a happy little guy! Even though he has been fighting off an ear infection. The good news is that shortly after turning 10 months old he gave up the paci and the bottle completely. He is now a sippie cup and milk kid! Mommy wasn't quite ready for him to be so big so fast :)

He is now walking with his push toys, although not willing yet to take steps on his own.
