Trunk or Treat with Triad Mommies group

Saturday night we all went to a Trunk-or-Treat event. Owen and Noah were in town visiting Abby and Tyler. Poor Tyler missed out because he was taking a much needed nap during the event. It was a bit cold to have him out anyway.
The kids had a great time - the costumes were great and the decorated trunks were a huge hit! All the kids really loved the one with the dry ice "smoke".

Happy Birthday Paul!

Paul turned 38 on October 27th. We had cake the night before because he had a HUGE exam on his actual birthday. Abby picked out the cake just for Daddy and of course it was all chocolate!
Here's to hoping next year he at least doesn't have an exam on his birthday!

Tyler's First Birthday Party!

Today we had a few good friends over and celebrated Tyler's first birthday! I made some cookie monster cupcakes and a cookie monster cake. Tyler took a little bit to really get into the cake, Abby and Cammi tried to help him out by feeding him icing.
But he figured it out - though he did not make as big of a mess as I was expecting. :)

Tyler 1 yr pics/Abby 4 yr pics

We got up early this am and went into Portrait Innovations so we could be the first appointment of the day. Tyler's ear was bothering him again - but the photographer did a great job and took some good pics! The hat Abby is wearing is a gift from Aunt Rhonda!

Crazy Saturday

Abby and I started out the day with the Women's Only 5k run this am. It was chilly out, but Daddy and Tyler joined us to cheer us on! Abby did the girls run which was 200 yards. She did a great job! She was supposed to do 2 laps around this small traffic circle - when she started lap 5 I finally got her attention to come to the finish line. :) She got a great pink medal that she loves to show off to EVERYONE that she sees. She even ran into one of her friends from school - Aubrey. Tyler was not happy about being in the stroller so he did fuss alot. Which led to Daddy getting quite the arm workout carrying him around.

Then it was back to the house for my fundraiser for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We had a great turnout and I finished most of my Christmas shopping :)

This evening we met Molly's new family. Unfortunately Molly kept escaping the inground fence and exploring our neighbors' yards. This did not make us very popular with the neighbors and led to many a dog chase. We found a great home for her with a huge yard and 2 very energetic little girls who are 6 & 11 years old. They loved her immediately! We miss Molly already and their were a few tears, but I think it will be much better for everyone.

Hoping to visit the pumpkin patch tomorrow and the kids have their pictures!! So you know that means another post!
