Circus day at school

Today is Circus day at school since the Circus is in Greensboro this weekend. You are supposed to come as your favorite Circus performer. Abby and I dug thru her closet and came up with a clown costume. She loved it!!! Paul was a little disturbed that everything came from her own wardrobe. I did add a few sparkling touches to the turtleneck though :). Abby was in such a good mood this morning! She loved her outfit and the face painting. She kept saying "more hearts" as I painted her face.

Princess Abigail

Abigail was ready for bed last night and decided that she wanted to try on some of her princess attire before night-night. We had to snap a few picks to share because she was having such a good time! She was celebrating her new tinkerbell sheets!

Build-a-Bear

Abby and I headed out to the mall and went to Build-a-Bear for the first time. Mommy got a giftcard at work for CRNA week and of course I had to spend some on Miss Abby! We had a great time. She chose a doggie that she very appropriately named "Doggie". She got to give him a "bath" before choosing his outfit. This pic is from my cell, and the only one not blurry :) She carried him around the store by his neck the entire time!

Winter's return

Hello all!
As many of you have heard, we got an Ohio dose of snow here in NC over the past weekend. Just to let you know how truly southern we have become, we do not own a snow shovel! :) Paul shoveled the driveway (all 8 inches of snow) with a garden shovel - poor guy. Unfortunately, I did not get any pics of Abby in the snow - but she did get out in it and had some fun. She doesn't even have any winter boots so her rain boots had to fill in. Afterward, she came in and had her first hot chocolate and a warm bath.
Paul and I just can not believe how quickly she is becoming a big kid. Paul told her the other day there isn't much baby left in her :) It is so amazing to watch her learn about her world and take it all in. Of course, that means editing our language a bit. I was talking to Paul the other day and said that something or other "sucks" and Abby agreed with me " Yeah Mommy, that sucks". Good grief. Could have been worse I guess.
