Backyard

Just wanted to post some pics of all the beautiful trees in the backyard. They are nice to look at, but I must admit that I am not looking forward to raking the leaves in the coming weeks.

House pics

I finally took some pics of the house. The kids playroom with the new border not even half finished - I had to order some more. The kitchen, the new bathroom, and the new decoration above the front door. The bathroom had purple wallpaper with a gold design in it. As we get settled some more, I will get some more pics posted.

There was also a visitor in the backyard that Abby had to meet. There is a creek that runs behind the house and we have seen many frogs - but this was our first turtle.

Greensboro Bound

As many of you have already heard, we sold our home in Mebane!!! We have been looking for somewhere to rent in Greensboro to be closer to everything. Paul only has a couple more years on his degree, and then we will go wherever he gets a job.

Paul and I can actually carpool most days now and with us all being as Moses Cone Hospital now (the kids daycare is there as well), it just makes sense to be closer. Well, rent prices were CRAZY and we were probably going to end up in a townhome - with 2 kids and a dog that was going to make us insane!

So, long story short (too late I know) - we decided to go ahead a buy a home and then either sell in a few years or turn it into a rental. We really lucked out with the home we are buying!!! It was bought in foreclosure by a realtor and completely redone - and it is empty. All we have to do is move in! Although Abby is demanding that her room be purple this time :)

So anyway - we close May 25th in Mebane and move into the new house May 26th. Yeah!!!

House Pics-Outside

As many of you have heard, we are trying to get the house on the market over the next week or so. Paul has been doing a ton of work since I am not able to help much at present. The outside was our big Labor Day Weekend project. I just wanted to share.

August

OK, so I have no idea where this summer has gone! It has gone by so fast. We are getting ready for Tyler's arrival. Paul pulled all the infant stuff out of the attic this weekend. We are putting carseats in the cars. Abby had to try out her old infant carseat once Mommy put the freshly washed liner back in it. We have also been working on the potty this weekend as well. We have had a few accidents, but not too bad. Abby just asked to go to the potty all on her own - sounds like progress to me! :)

Paul spent the weekend replacing the porch rail. Our old rail was wooden and had rotted in spots. Paul put up a new vinyl one this weekend. I think it looks great! A few more weeks and we'll have a "For Sale" sign in the yard!!!
