First Day of Pre-K

Abby's first day at Erwin Montessori for Pre-K!!!

She goes one day this week and then starts full time on 9/10. She was very excited (and a bit nervous). But she had already met her teacher at open house.

When I picked her up all she talked about was eating in the cafeteria (pretty cool) and meeting a new girl named "the new Savannah" (as opposed to the one at her daycare).
She also had her first night of dance at the new dance school. Went pretty well, but we had one very tired 4 1/2 year old last night.

Pinkalicious Tea Party

A few weeks ago Abby and her friend Lila went to the Pinkalicious Tea Party at the Winston-Salem Children's Museum. We made magic wands, hats, and even our very own Goldies (Pinkalicious has her own imaginary unicorn). We listened to stories and drank pink lemonade. The girls then played in the museum for a bit.

Myrtle Beach

We actually took an entire vacation together as a family this past week. We headed to Garden City in South Myrtle Beach and rented a beach house from a co-worker of mine. The kids were a little nervous about the ocean at first, but quickly warmed up! Tyler loved the outdoor shower!! Abby found tons of shells to bring home and make her own beach in a bottle. She is already asking when we can go back! Dylan was nice enough to go with us to help with the kids and give us a break in the evening to go out occasionally!

Where did June go?

I realized today that is it July 1st and I haven't posted anything since Abby's recital. What the heck? It isn't that we didn't have anything going on in June either. The kids and I went home to Ohio for a week and a half after stopping by TN and visiting my Aunt and Uncle at the lake. Abby graduated from daycare and will start Preschool in August. The pics are from her graduation.
Tyler is a CRAZY man is all over the place. Unfortunately he calls Paul and I both "Mommy" so the word is said ALL DAY LONG! He has discovered Mickey Mouse and is now sleeping in a "big boy'" bed. We bought twin bunk beds before Abby's recital. Most nights Abby is sleeping in the top bunk.
Paul had his Comp exams in May while the kids and I were in Ohio. Now he has oral exams on July 10th and we are off to the beach for a whole week of vacation!!! I am just working all the overtime I can at present while Paul is out of school for the summer.

Dance Recital

Abigail had her first every dance recital Saturday night.  Dress rehearsal was on Thursday evening.  These pics are from a mix of both events.  She and the other girls in her class did a great job!!  They all looked so cute up on stage and they were all smiles when they were done! Grandma & Papa Chase, Aunt Claudine, Dylan & Ian all came to see Abby dance!!!
The cowgirl costume was for tap and the white & pink costume was for ballet.

The Birthday Party with the Petting Zoo

The kids went to a friend's birthday party today and there was a great petting zoo all set up and a pony for rides! Abby got to hold a bunny and have her first pony ride. Tyler got to torment all the animals equally, run Mommy all over the yard, slide to his hearts content and EAT! A very good day.
