Princess jammies

Abby got these princess jammies from Aunt Rhonda.  She wore them for the first time last night.  They are still a little bit big on her.  Paul was being a good daddy and trying to teach her how to twirl around. :)  Anyway,  she would not let me take them off of her this morning!  I finally bribed her around 10:45 and won.  Which is a good thing since we were headed to the Natural Science Center in Greensboro with some friends!

Mommy's little helper

While we were in Asheville a few weeks ago we found Abby a toy Dyson vacuum.  It even has a switch that makes all these little confetti pieces in the canister blow around.  Abby loves it!  She decided that she was going to vacuum the house after I did yesterday.  Now if only that vacuum really picked up dog hair!  :)

July 4th

It seems I am getting a bit behind on posting.  I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend over the 4th!  We pretty much stayed close to home.  Abby got all dressed up for school (daycare) in honor of the holiday!  She is getting so big so quick!  She refuses to drink out of sippy cups anymore!  She also has new words almost everyday.  She has a new doll that she carries everywhere with Piggy. She calls the new doll "baby" and Piggy "gigi".  She (finally) says Mommy!! 

As many of you know, we are preparing for Paul to start school this fall for his PhD at UNC Greensboro.  We have also been trying for baby #2 for a year now.  So hopefully with some medical assistance a sibling won't be far off!  :)  I am keeping my fingers crossed!  

Barkwells

Well, we took both dogs and ourselves and went to a "dog-friendly" place near Asheville this past weekend for Father's Day.  Everyone had a good time.  We tried to get some 18 month pics of Abigail without much success.  She is going thru a phase where she doesn't want to look at the camera at all.

Hello again!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Abby is moving up to the next classroom in daycare next week!  It is one of the toddler rooms.  She will officially be a "Doodlebug".  Very exciting!  Really I just wanted a reason to post a funny picture I took while she was eating her peanut butter and crackers tonight! :)

Abby's trip to OH

Abby had a great time in OH while Mommy and Daddy were away.  She played with her cousins, splashed in the pool, went to the petting zoo at Young's Dairy, got to be Princess Abby in her new wagon, and even put on Grandma Owens' gardening gloves to help out pulling weeds! :)

6th Anniversary Trip

Hello all!
Paul and I went to Las Vegas/Zion/Grand Canyon for our aniversary. We were supposed to go to Mexico, but the swine flu kinda killed that trip. Abby went to visit all her family in Ohio while Mommy and Daddy were gone. Paul and I had a great time but we missed Abigail - sounds like Abigail had a great time visiting and being spoiled rotten!
